이민자 2세로서 겪었던 혼란과 역경을 딛고 성공해 담담히 마음을 표현하는게 감동적이네요 일년이 지났습니다.<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: inherit; color: #222222; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, Helvetica Neue, Apple SD Gothic Neo, Malgun Gothic, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: -0.5px; background-color: #ffffff;"><br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: inherit; color: #222222; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, Helvetica Neue, Apple SD Gothic Neo, Malgun Gothic, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: -0.5px; background-color: #ffffff;">제가 한국을 찾은 지 1년이 되었습니다. 제가 흑백요리사 때문에 유명해진 지도 1년이 되었습니다. 한국을 바깥에서가 아닌 안에서 처음 본 것 역시 1년이 되었습니다.<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: inherit; color: #222222; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, Helvetica Neue, Apple SD Gothic Neo, Malgun Gothic, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: -0.5px; background-color: #ffffff;"><br style="margin: 0px; background-color: #ffffff;">1년이 지났고, 내 인생은 완전히 바뀌었습니다. 내 피는 이제 순창의 햇빛에 말라가는 고추 가루의 색이 되었습니다. 내 입맛이 매운 것을 너무 좋아하게 되어서 김치 없을 못 본 날엔 잠이 안 와요.<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: inherit; color: #222222; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, Helvetica Neue, Apple SD Gothic Neo, Malgun Gothic, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: -0.5px; background-color: #ffffff;"><br style="margin: 0px; background-color: #ffffff;">올해 참 많이도 울었는데, 그 따뜻한 눈물이 부산의 여름비처럼 느껴집니다. 하지만 그 눈물은 슬픔 때문이 아니었습니다. 내가 느낄 것이라고는 결코 생각하지 못했던 깊은 행복과 감격 속에서 비롯된 것입니다.<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: inherit; color: #222222; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, Helvetica Neue, Apple SD Gothic Neo, Malgun Gothic, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: -0.5px; background-color: #ffffff;"><br style="margin: 0px; background-color: #ffffff;">나는 내 인생에서 처음으로 한국의 많은 장소를 보았습니다. 처음 안동의 산길을 걸어봤습니다. 처음 여수에서 낚시를 했습니다. 인천에서 자장면을 처음 먹어봤는데, 익숙한 맛이 새로운 맛처럼 느껴졌습니다.<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: inherit; background-color: #ffffff;">나는 아직도 제주도의 소리를 이해할 수 없지만, 단어는 모르지만, 그 의미를 느낄 수 있습니다. 속초에 갔을 때 해안에 부딪히는 파도를 보고 마치 내가 그 파도가 된 듯한 느낌을 받았습니다.<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: inherit; color: #222222; background-color: #ffffff;">나는 갑자기 파도처럼 한국에 밀려온 걸까요?<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: inherit; color: #222222; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, Helvetica Neue, Apple SD Gothic Neo, Malgun Gothic, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: -0.5px; background-color: #ffffff;">속으로 생각합니다. 나는 여기에 속해있는 걸까? 아니면 그냥 파도처럼 다시 어둠이 가득한 바다로 끌려가게 될까. 나는 부서지는 파도가 되고 싶지 않습니다.<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: inherit; background-color: #ffffff;">나는 한국의 바위에 달라붙은 미역이 되어 내 집이라 부르고 싶어요.<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: inherit; color: #222222; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, Helvetica Neue, Apple SD Gothic Neo, Malgun Gothic, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: -0.5px; background-color: #ffffff;">나는 뉴욕에서 자랐습니다. 미국에서 힘들지만 멋진 어린 시절을 보냈습니다. 내가 자란 집을 사랑했고, 부모님을 사랑했어요. 하지만 내 마음 속으로는 항상 말 못했던 마음, 나는 한국인이었어.<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; background-color: #ffffff;">나는 그 것을 어떻게 표현해야 할지 몰랐어요. 한국에 연결될 수 있는 방법은 오직 음식. 51년 동안 찾을 성의 기회 기다렸습니다.<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: inherit; color: #222222; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, Helvetica Neue, Apple SD Gothic Neo, Malgun Gothic, Arial, sans-serif;
